Raisio's criteria for healthy food

Raisio makes genuinely healthy products through committing to the criteria for healthy food.

As defined in its strategy, Raisio focuses on tasty and genuinely healthy food. While developing products, we pay special attention to the good taste of products, the quality of fat and the amounts of fibre, sugar and salt – and strive for the best possible combination of taste and healthiness.

To support product development, we have defined healthy criteria for all product categories. Raisio’s view on healthy food is based on the generally approved concepts confirmed by the science of nutrition. We update our criteria regularly, with the latest version being revised in 2019.

Our criteria for healthy food help us achieve one of the main targets defined in our responsibility programme, Good Food Plan 2019-2023: we are dedicated to increasing the number of consumer products that comply with our criteria for healthy food, with the ambition to achieve 80 per cent by 2023. At the end of 2019, already 77 per cent of our products were healthy alternatives in their own categories.

Raisio’s criteria for healthy food are presented in the tables below, listed by product category.
