We focus on three strategic priorities where we can create the greatest impact:
In the food industry, many of the largest climate impacts occur before raw materials reach the factory. That is why we aim to source an increasing share of the grain we use through sustainable farming contracts. We are also collecting data on the climate impacts of grain and expanding practices that support biodiversity across our raw material chain.
In the food chain, responsibility is often built through practical, everyday improvements. We aim to reduce waste per tonne produced, continuously improve energy efficiency, and find new business opportunities from production side streams — creating more value from every grain.
Food can support health when better choices are easy, appealing and part of everyday life. That is why we develop products that combine great taste with nutritional quality. Our work is reflected in our particular expertise in oats, fibre and cholesterol-lowering products.
In our 2025 Sustainability Report, we voluntarily aligned our reporting with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) framework for the first time. This enhances the transparency and comparability of our impacts, risks and opportunities.
CSRD brings a clear structure and harmonised principles to reporting, enabling our stakeholders to gain an increasingly comprehensive and consistent understanding of sustainability work and its development.
At Raisio, we make delicious food that supports healthier living. In our strategy, sustainability and the transformation of food are translated into profitable business. Our goal is to develop the entire food chain in line with our environmental and responsibility ambitions – from field to everyday meals.
For us, sustainability is not a separate initiative. It is an integral part of our growth strategy and a foundation for our competitiveness.
