What we achieved
in 2022–2025

We have been working systematically on responsibility for more than 20 years. Over that time, we have built a strong foundation that we continue to develop also in the future.

Our achievements 2022–2025

Our Good Food programme guided our sustainability work during 2022–2025. We focused on improving our own operations from multiple perspectives. You can find a more detailed overview of the programme’s key objectives and achievements below.

Raisio Sustainability Highlights 2025

Environmentally friendly packaging

100% of our packaging is recyclable.

All our product packaging is now recyclable. We have also increased the use of renewable and recycled materials.

We have continuously reduced the amount of plastic and packaging materials used. We signed the Green Deal commitment to reduce the consumption of single-use portion packs.

We have increased consumer awareness of sustainability and recycling. All our consumer packages include clear recycling instructions to make responsible choices easier in everyday life.

Environment & climate action

98.6% of the energy we used in 2025 was renewable.

The electricity, heat and steam we purchase for our own factories, as well as the heat and steam we produce ourselves, are fully derived from renewable energy sources. However, some fossil emissions still arise from LPG- and fuel oil-powered forklifts and loaders, fuel oil used in maintenance work, and fuel and electricity consumption from company cars.

During the programme period, we expanded our greenhouse gas accounting and reporting to cover our entire value chain (Scope 3 emissions).

At the end of 2025, we submitted our near-term emission reduction targets and our Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation.

We have introduced several practices to reduce food and production waste and to utilise side streams more efficiently. Waste is still generated, and further innovation is needed to maximise the value of our side streams.

Healthy food

90% of our products meet our internal nutrition criteria, based on national nutrition recommendations.

We ensured that our focus on healthier food aligns closely with the latest national nutrition recommendations.

In product development, we pay special attention to great taste, fibre content, fat quality, and the amount of sugar and salt — always aiming for the best possible balance between taste and health. We also recognise that tasty food is less likely to end up as waste.

Raisio’s health criteria

Sustainable food chain

95% of our raw materials were plant-based.

We have made our production chain increasingly responsible by assessing human rights impacts and minimising risks throughout the value chain. We have developed concrete plans to continuously improve our sourcing practices.

Together with our suppliers and other stakeholders, we have worked to promote biodiversity. We launched farmer collaboration initiatives and introduced a sustainable farming contract model that encourages cultivation practices supporting biodiversity. Because biodiversity has a significant impact on the resilience of the food system, we have elevated it to a central role in our new sustainability programme.

Food Professionals

Our employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) was 45 in the 2025 employee survey.

We continue to aim for an excellent employee experience. Our goal is to create a workplace where our employees are proud to be part of Raisio’s international future. During the programme period, our employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) increased steadily from 19 in 2022 to 45 in the 2025 employee survey. Although the score decreased compared to 2024 (52.2), it remains at a good level.

We support healthy lifestyles and well-being among our employees, and promote diversity and provide equal opportunities for everyone within our company.
