We at Raisio Group focus on making responsibly produced Food for Health, Heart and Earth. We know that food has the power to transform people’s lives for the better. That is why, when making our food, we take all important factors into account, from wellbeing, health and good taste to developing a safe and sustainable value chain.
We create food brands that consumers and customers trust, and grow a business that our shareholders and investors believe in. Every day, we must earn the trust of our stakeholders by acting with honesty, integrity and responsibility. The Raisio Code of Conduct guides us in doing exactly that. It describes our common way of operating: the behaviors and principles we say yes to, and the actions we, in turn, do not condone. For us, doing ethical, responsible and profitable business is not just a matter of compliance but the groundwork on which we build a culture of growth and inventiveness.
So say yes to doing what’s right, because it will make life more fulfilling – for ourselves and all of our stakeholders.
We say yes to creating a workplace where people feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow. We respect human rights across our entire value chain.
We communicate openly
Internal communication is a core part of how we lead and build our shared culture at Raisio. This is why every employee plays a role in it. Through internal communication, we connect Raisio’s strategy with our daily operations, engage and inspire our employees, and strengthen our shared culture, practices and processes. We maintain continuous dialogue and work together to build Raisio into the employer we want to be. Our internal communication is designed to support digital ways of working, speed, open dialogue in all directions and active participation.
The key principles of our external communication are defined in Raisio plc’s Disclosure Policy. In our communications, we comply with EU regulations, Finnish legislation, the rules and guidelines of Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd, as well as the regulations and guidelines of ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) and the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority.
We build wellbeing at work and develop competence
We all take responsibility for maintaining a respectful, inclusive and psychologically safe work environment. We treat each other with respect, give and receive feedback constructively, and speak up if something is not right.
We take care of employee wellbeing by focusing on good leadership and managerial work, on good interaction and internal communications, and by promoting a psychologically safe work environment. We communicate openly, interactively and honestly. We encourage and support the physical and mental wellbeing of our employees. We also promote employee wellbeing through early support practices and problem prevention.
At Raisio, competence development covers the entire lifecycle of an employment. We actively develop our own competence and contribute to the learning and development of others.
Effective planning and implementation of the induction program ensures that our employees have sufficient resources to succeed in their work. On-the-job learning as well as internal and external training enables continuous learning and professional development. Appraisal and development discussions are used to identify employee development needs and to ensure that operations are in line with the Group’s objectives. The employee survey results and feedback help us find better practices. Each line manager prepares yearly a development plan for the team together with the team. In the plan, the line manager reflects the team’s competence and performance development needs against the strategy, the strategic capabilities, the employee survey and the appraisal and development discussions. Based on the identified development needs, the line manager defines actions for the team and for their own leadership.
We create a healthy and safe workplace
Everyone has the right to a healthy, safe, and respectful work environment. We all share responsibility for maintaining a workplace that safeguards our employees’ physical and mental wellbeing, health, and safety. By following good safety practices, committing to active safety leadership, and participating in regular occupational health and safety training, we build and maintain a strong safety culture.

Raisio operates in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. These principles guide Raisio’s human rights due diligence process, risk assessment, and the prevention, mitigation, and remediation of adverse impacts in its own operations, value chain, and other business relationships.
Raisio is also committed to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, covering human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti-corruption.
In accordance with the UNGPs and OECD Guidelines, Raisio identifies, assesses, prevents, mitigates, and monitors adverse human rights impacts in its own operations, value chain, and business relationships as part of its ongoing human rights due diligence process.
Raisio utilizes Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA) and other appropriate methods to identify and assess actual and potential human rights impacts related to its operations, value chain, and business relationships.
Through this assessment process, Raisio allocates resources and actions to areas of greatest impact, prioritizing adverse human rights impacts based on:
If all identified impacts cannot be addressed simultaneously, Raisio prioritizes the most severe and likely impacts.
Raisio engages in dialogue with relevant stakeholders and regularly monitors the effectiveness of its actions. If Raisio identifies that it has caused or contributed to an adverse human rights impact, it commits to taking appropriate corrective actions and, where necessary, contributing to remediation in accordance with its role.
Raisio applies risk-based due diligence principles aligned with EU corporate sustainability regulations and international standards. Based on these principles, Raisio considers climate change-related human rights impacts as part of its sustainability efforts and value chain development.
Raisio is committed to treating its employees with dignity and respect. Raisio does not tolerate any form of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics. Raisio has implemented an electronic reporting channel through which employees can report suspected misconduct related to, among other things, Raisio’s general operating principles.
A report may be submitted if there is suspicion of conduct that is inconsistent with Raisio’s values, Code of Conduct, or applicable laws. If human rights violations are identified or brought to Raisio’s attention, they will be appropriately investigated and necessary corrective measures will be taken.
The reporting channel is also available to Raisio Group customers, business partners, and other stakeholders in accordance with the EU Whistleblowing Directive.
The reporting channel can be accessed at: https://report.whistleb.com/raisio

Raisio assesses human rights risks in its supply chain using a risk-based approach and requires suppliers and subcontractors to commit to the Raisio Supplier Code of Conduct.
Methods used to identify and manage human rights risks include:
Raisio works with suppliers and subcontractors to address identified deficiencies, monitors the implementation of corrective actions, and continuously develops responsible practices together with suppliers, partners, and its own organization.
Raisio provides annual training on human rights issues, focusing particularly on enhancing the capabilities of procurement, supply chain, and sustainability personnel to identify and manage human rights risks throughout the value chain.
Raisio identifies and assesses human rights risks by raw material as part of its supply chain due diligence process.
The raw material-specific risk analysis considers:
a) the country of origin of the raw material and known human rights risks associated with it (for example, forced labor, child labor, and land rights disputes);
b) typical human rights challenges related to the production of the raw material;
c) the length and complexity of the supply chain and the level of traceability;
d) the certification status of the raw material and participation in industry initiatives; and
e)previousfindings and audit results.
Raisio publishes a summary of the key human rights risks related to its main raw materials and the corresponding mitigation measures as part of its annual sustainability reporting.
Particular attention is paid to raw materials associated with elevated human rights risks, such as palm oil, cocoa, and soy.
As part of its human rights due diligence process, Raisio pays special attention to vulnerable groups, such as seasonal workers, whose exposure to human rights risks may be heightened.
Raisio assesses the specific risks faced by vulnerable groups as part of its human rights impact assessments and ensures that grievance mechanisms are genuinely accessible to these groups.
